THE CHRISTIAN TRUMP
Donald's team will now be working on a symbolic token to prove that he is a real Christian. Two spring to mind: He could give away all (or say 90%) of his money to the poor, and he could stop saying nasty things about other people (which would wipe out about 90% of his punchlines and speeches). Then we could see the "Christian Trump."

SAD AND TERRIFYING
The really sad and terrifying thing about today's SayWhat? quote* is that I absolutely believe that Trump doesn't understand what Doonesbury is all about...
*
"You know, I did well in school, but for the life of me, I still can't understand what Doonesbury is all about. This guy is totally overrated, and he's created a false myth. I hope he finds some other character to draw."
-- Donald Trump on G.B. Trudeau -
TRUMP
Donald Trump risks his life for our country every day. When he kisses himself in the mirror, he could break the glass.

THANKS
Middle America Thanks, for today's strip. You forgot to mention all those Middle Americans who are sure Trump shares their values. The only trouble is, I think he believes that in Middle America your daddy gives you a $1,000,000 loan for your first real estate deal.

MISS MANNERS
Today's strip: Right on target. Thank you, GBT. Obviously, no one has ever informed Trump of Miss Manners' credo: "One need never be ashamed of behaving well."
-
TRUMP'S SUCCESS
Donald Trump's success is easily explained. He is the world's greatest snake oil salesman, except that the snake oil he is selling is -- and always has been -- Donald Trump. He's been selling that product for over thirty years, and he's gotten really good at ignoring its (his) failings and and failures. He's selling the sizzle and hoping no one notices that the steak is actually hamburger.
-
WALLOP
Today's strip packs a wallop. I wonder if it will penetrate the bubble? Work like that is why we miss the daily Doonesbury.
-
DECENCY
Much gratitude for today's strip. I don't normally throw around words like "decency," but continue to be baffled at the complete lack of it in candidate Trump. As for his supporters, when did the U.S. become so spiritually bankrupt? It's pretty disheartening. All these angry white people, maybe they could drop in at a housing project, or perhaps a city school, or spend a day with an agricultural worker, then reconsider what is and isn't fair.

KIND OF SCARY
Two things are kind of scary about today’s strip. One, I had this conversation with a friend just yesterday morning, and noticed that sloth seemed to be the odd deadly-7 out. Is trump remiss, or just planning to relish the 7th once he gains office? (From Sir Reality to Lord Reality to Imperial Impotus -- yikes.) Two, is any of this even possible? Sir Conan Doyle: “Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth.” And the American dream? “Oh the humanity…"

HELL OF A WEEK
So Trump has antagonised the Pope and Reverend Sloan a few days apart? Hell of a week.
-
SCARES ME
Trump as anti-Christ, anyone? Scares me!
-
NEGATIVE FATIGUE
Thank you, bless you, for articulating the most effective message I have yet heard addressing the sham that is Donald Trump. Democrats are at a natural disadvantage because we are not practiced in bullying, name-calling and lying. Please continue to do your best to clarify for those caught up in the negative fatigue so prevalent today.

YES
Yes, Duke is definitely breathing -- and sneaking in a drink of Scotch between frames.
-
STILL BREATHING
No, Duke's still breathing! See how his mouth is moving?
-
HONEY
Ah, one of my all-time favorite Honkle Dookle storylines; dark, strange, and intersecting with real-life events. And Honey at her most earnest and heroic.
-
SPOT-ON
I'm a Bernie voter, but Trump is spot-on with his description of the people who show up at Trump rallies.
-
COMBINATION
Today's combination of strip and SayWhat? feature speaks volumes about the differences between Garry Trudeau and Donald Trump. I can't imagine Donald Trump putting up Trudeau's criticisms of him on any of Trump's many platforms, let alone doing so without commentary.
-
SECOND
I second the nomination of Duke for Trump's running mate. Just the idea made me laugh out loud.
-
NAILED IT
Re: Donald Trump. You nailed it!!! You have captured the essence of his narcissistic personality. Well done!
-
RUNNING MATE
I know it's wrong to still get so much damn entertainment value from Donald Trump, but couldn't today's SayWhat? quote just as easily have come from Duke? Please have Trump select Duke as his running mate. Puh-leeeeeze?
